We are now full-on into Mars Retrograde and, by taking life one day at a time, deep inner transformation is available. The timing of the heart operates differently from the timing of the mind. Mars retrograde lasts 80 days and the awareness and information that we are processing individually and collectively takes its time to take root in us. If you're wondering why you seem to be more lethargic, tired, or low, all of those are effects of Mars retrograde. If you are experiencing these effects, the message is to slow down. If possible, get some extra hours of sleep. Give your inner warrior a much-needed break. Also, eating more vegetables and adjusting to the changing temperatures will stabilize and nourish your physical body as your heart goes through its necessary transformation.
Collectively or personally, we are seeing/experiencing the flames of uncontrollable fires, the flames of injustice because of societal structures that only benefit some of us, the flames of passion in a Chief Justice's life well-lived. Individually, something in each of us is burning up. Something is being put into the fires in order to forge a more authentic future. We can't see how it will end up yet - we only know that now is the time to surrender.
The following is attributed to Lao-tzu and gives advice on how to navigate:
There is no need to run outside
For better seeing,
Nor to peer from a window.
At the center of your being;
For the more you leave it, the less you learn.
We are also experiencing the effects of the eclipses that happened way back in June and July. It takes about 3 months for the effects of eclipses to materialize because eclipses unearth things in our selves and the collective that we would rather not see. Both now and in the next few months, you may find yourself encountering circumstances that are overwhelming and that may even evoke a trauma response. One action that can go a long way toward creating inner stability is to bless your physical home and the rooms that are contained within it. No matter what is happening outside, you can make of your home a sanctuary. This might involve visualization, some sort of energetic work, or just simply going into each room and welcoming the energies of peace and love. You may find that you create a morning or evening practice where you thank each room and how it benefits you. Get creative! You'll know that your blessing was effective when you walk through your front door and are met with instant relief and waves of peace.
We are now in the final weeks of Mercury's Direct Epimethian phase. If you wrote out what came to you way back at the beginning of the cycle on June 30th, now is a good time to re-visit that list. It's time to take any last actions to finish up what you started back in June and July before Mercury goes retrograde on October 13. There is a maturity now to these projects, ideas and actions. Also, now is the time to experience a harvest and to reap the rewards of your hard work during this Mercury cycle.
May all beings be at ease!
